Not Too Old To Be Mum - Rebekah

This week’s "Not Too Old To Be Mum" is with Rebekah. Rebekah isn't part of the blogging world, she just wanted to share her story. If you read my story of how I became a mum at nearly 40 you may remember her. She was one of my friends in the photo with me when I was single and here she is now sharing her story of how she became a mum.

First of all congratulations on your baby. How old were you when you had your baby/babies?

I was 40,  and having my baby was the best 40th birthday present I could have wished for!

Not Too Old To Be Mum - Elisa

This week’s "Not Too Old To Be Mum" is with Elisa from Only Elisa Knows.

First of all congratulations on your baby. How old were you when you had your baby/babies?

Thank you. I am 39 years old going 40 when I had my first baby. I conceived him at age 39 and give birth at the age of 40. It was 4 months to my 40th birthday.

Tell me a bit about yourself and your main reasons for having a child(ren) after the age of 35?
I am separated for more than 10 years. I am an emotionally battered wife. My ex-husband called me a swine which refers to a pig who cannot give birth. It is degrading as he created a rumour against me.  I have no idea why we don't have a child for more than 13 years. Some said that our chromosomes are incompatible. After a few years, I found the strength to leave him. To make story short. I found a job and a man who is 8 years younger than me. I didn't expect that I am carrying a child because of what happened in my past.  So, there is no definite reason why I have a child at this age.  I did not do anything. What I remember is I (do) prayed hard to have a child.

Not Too Old To Be Mum - Sam

This week’s "Not Too Old To Be Mum" is with Sam from Mummy Market.

First of all congratulations on your baby. How old were you when you had your baby/babies?

I was 42 when I had my son Jack.

My name is Sam, married to John for 7 yrs after meeting in Cornwall. My son Jack is four and I have two teenage step boys.  I've always wanted to be a mum since I was little. I loved my dollies and really looked after them. I had  a couple of long term relationships, the last one being 13 yrs and particularly abusive and before I knew it I was in my late thirties.

Not Too Old To Be Mum - Helen

This week’s "Not Too Old To Be Mum" is with Helen from Welsh Mum Writing.
First of all congratulations on your baby. How old were you when you had your baby/babies?

I became pregnant with my son at 40 and had him at 41. He’s our only child.

Tell me a bit about yourself and your main reasons for having a child(ren) after the age of 35?
I didn’t meet my husband until I was in my early thirties, and got married at 36.  Before then, I thought I wanted children but the time and relationship was never right. I’d decided I would probably pursue it on my own and then I met my husband. I think many women find themselves in that position – men too.
