While the crescendo of your summer break and your children’s break from school is likely to be your holiday abroad, there are often weeks to fill after returning home. You may be sporting a wonderful tan, but this in no way lessens the seemingly endless energy of your kids, as well as your need to stimulate everyone with some form of activity. Thankfully, finding simple and cheap summer fun is easier than you might consider, and absolutely worth taking part in.

Butlins Holiday: On a budget

From doing a bit of research and planning, we were able to get the holiday for free and just had to pay out for fuel and food. We did spend a small amount on entertainment, and we ate out one evening, but these could have easily been avoided. Here's how we did it.

Butlins Just For Tots: Our Family Holiday

When I was getting close to the end of my pregnancy with our 2nd baby I said we should plan a break away when our baby is a few months old. I thought it would be nice to have something to look forward to, because lets face it having a new born isn't easy. And this time we'd have a toddler and a new born to deal with and I knew I could probably do with a break. We considered our options and in the end Butlins in Skegness seemed like the best option.
