The Mischief of A One Year Old

Here's a few photos of some of the antics my 1 year old has got up to lately! He's certainly starting to find his personality and loves getting up to mischief.

He loves the TV remotes and whenever is senses them unattended he runs to grab them. He also loves the duplo cart we got him for this birthday. He screams at me when I put him in his pushchair, but will happily sit in his cart.

Snow Day Fun

I've certainly experienced more snow since living in Yorkshire, but in true British style it doesn't last long. So if you want to enjoy the snow you have to take the chance when it's there. One of the items on my 40 things to do before I'm 40 list was to play in the snow with my boy.

Christmas 2016

It's been a fairly quiet Christmas as we've all been poorly, hence not getting many photos. But here are a few that were taken. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends.

My in-laws home is always decorated beautifully for the Christmas period, so we took the opportunity to take a few photos while visiting before Christmas day.

1st Birthday Cake Smash and Celebrations

My little boy turned 1 at the beginning of December. It doesn't seem possible that it's a year since he was born, but then again it seems like he's been with us forever.

I wanted to mark the occasion, but without spending too much money. The main things I wanted to do was a cake smash the weekend before his birthday. Then the Saturday after his birthday we'd be free to have a day out, without too many time restraints.

Family Photos - Recreating a Wedding Photo

As part of my little boys 1st birthday celebrations I wanted to get some up to date family photos. It's not always easy to get photos where you're all in them, even harder to get decent ones. No offence to those who may take a family photo of us, but I do come with my own set of high standards of photography and unless you understand lighting, composition etc..etc... it's hard to get someone else to do what I have envisioned in my mind. That's not to say that I don't like the fun ones that may be snapped and captured. It's more when I want a specific shot.

So off we went to a local park with the camera, tripod and remote control. We ended up going late afternoon after Tommy's nap and I was so worried that it would be too dark. Although it was getting on the dark side, it was probably the perfect time in the day to take the photos as earlier that day the sun had been beaming bright.

Capturing Babies Growth With Fun Monthly Photos

Here are all 12 months as my boy is now 1 years old!!!!!! Look at how big he got! I don't plan to keep up the monthly photos now. It was beginning to get difficult with other commitments getting in the way. I will probably take a photo every 6 months, or every year and of course a lot in between :)
